I’ve used previous mousses back when I was in high school about 10-12 years ago and I always hated how crunchy and hard and stiff they made my curly hair. Lately my hair is thinner than it’s ever been because hard water has been wreaking havoc on it before I understood what was going on. I have low porosity 2c-3a curls and my hair is fine but has volume. Since I discovered that my new home has hard water I’ve gotten a hard water, showerhead filter, Malibu, hard water, shampoo, and conditioner, and I’ve been using hair growth oil and head massages to regrow. Since I’m taking a hiatus from heat tools and curling ones, I really really need to learn how to embrace my natural curls while it heals from the hard water damage, I wanted a moose that would help bring back my curl pattern because it’s stronger than a leave in. Let me tell you this product is amazing if used correctly. I think about a quarter size and rub my palms and then scrunch on the tips of my curls, When it dries out completely, not crunchy at all!!! It has a delish lemony scent and I’m floored this is a moose. I have never had good luck with hair mousse, but I don’t think I’ll ever use a different type now! As you can see my curl pattern came back for the most part, but I’m working on getting her all the way up to the roots and thicker!

This product has a great smell and works wonderfully! My Curls are soft and defined not frizzy or hard and crinkly. I use all Cake products on my hair!

My hair is more so wavy than curly but I am very happy with the way my hair turned out. The product is thick but does not weigh down my hair. I have a lot more curl definition than usual which is really nice, and my hair is soft and shiny. The overall quality is great and the smell is amazing.

The moose is okay. I don’t think I’ll purchase it again but I will finish the bottle. I have a volume foam by the cake-brand. And wear it like crazy. Almost daily because it’s weightless.I have fine, thin, wavy hair and this curl moose can make my hair feel junky. At my last hair apt the women accused me of overly using protein products and was admit I have build up. 🙄 I just used too much of the moose that morning. I have to be very careful to only get a small amount out of the container. I use it when I curl/wrap my hair at night; the product helps the curls hold the next day and doesn’t make my hair crunchy, and when I want wave hair after a shower.I do like the smell. A lot of curly/wavy hair products have a smell that sticks all day, often tropical or chemical smelling and overwhelming.This is a slight lemon sent and it doesn’t have a strong smell and jack up my sensory issues.

Finally found the missing piece to my wavy hair routine. I absolutely love this mousse. I have fine wavy hair and this mousse is perfect to hold my waves without weighing them down. When you scrunch out the crunch there’s no white residue or flaking. I am obsessed with the smell. I only need a bit in order to coat my hair and lock the curls in place. The value for the money is excellent and I never need to try another mousse. If you have wavy hair, I highly recommend!

I’m a guy with medium to long wavy curly hair, and this mousse actually works way better than I expected. It gives my curls a nice hold and shape, and shine, without needing any heat, which I really appreciate. I just scrunch it into damp hair and let it air dry, and my curls stay defined all day. Pretty easy.The scent is also really good - kind of like lemon cake and not too strong, just clean and fresh.Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because you have to be a little careful with how much you use. If I use too much, my hair starts to feel crunchy and a bit sticky. Less is definitely more with this stuff. It also left my hands feeling kind of tacky after applying, which isn’t a dealbreaker but worth noting.Overall though, it’s a solid product. It holds my curls, smells great, and doesn’t weigh my hair down. I’ll keep using it, just with a lighter hand.
