For the price, these shoes have held up impressively well. The upper looks good right out of the box. Not amazing, but it doesn't look or feel plasticy either. The upper is relatively thin and you will get some creasing, but a $10 set of shoe trees helps minimize the creasing and increase the life of the leather as well. (Seriously, don't bother buying these unless you're going to put shoe trees in them.) As a plus, the break in period was very short.The sole has worn amazingly well. I work in an urban area and typically have to walk a mile or more on sidewalks, streets, etc. I've been wearing these shoes 2-3 times a week for a couple years and the soles look like I'll get another 4-6 years of continued use out of them. I did have taps put on the toes, and I've had the heels redone at least once or twice.I bought these expecting to get 2-3 years of moderate use out of them, but at this point I expect to get at least twice that. The real downfall of these shoes is that I'll never be able to bring myself to spend $60 resoling a pair of shoes that cost me $80.This is my first pair of Florsheims, but I guarantee it won't be my last. My next pair I'll likely step up to their Imperial Collection and invest in a set of uppers that'll be worthy of a second sole.

Not the best-built shoe in the market but at least half the price of goodyear welted shoes like Allen Edmonds. You get a nice leather soled-shoe that is comfortable out of the box and looks good. The leather upper is about half the thickness of a shoe like Allen Edmonds, so you can't realistically expect it to last as long. Since I am retired and don't wear dress shoes every day, this is good enough for me. But if you need to wear dress shoes all day, every day for work and don't want to have to buy a new pair every six months to a year, a better made shoe is more cost-effective over the long run at even twice the price or more. Although this shoe has a Blake welt construction rather than goodyear welt, you should be able to find a shoemaker that can resole the bottom when it wears out. But I can tell from the way that the upper wrinkles when worn that it will not last as long as a better-made shoe, so one resoling is about all I expect to get away with. This is the first time I have ordered shoes online and I was somewhat apprehensive that they would fit. But I ordered a 10e, which is my normal size, and they fit fine.

I really like the shoes, they're just a little bigger than expected. I already had this shoe in black so I figured I was safe to order these in the same size. My mistake was not trying them on before they went in the suitcase for a business trip. They're slightly larger but I ended up wearing them anyway so I can't exchange. It's my fault as I should have tried them on, but I was hoping for more consistent sizing.

I bought this shoe and within 3 months the cap toe came apart. I have since returned them to amazon and they have shipped me a new pair. I will see what the new pair does. The shoes are comfortable. I am hoping that this is a fluke. Typically I have had really good success with Florsheim so for now I will base my stars on the shoe overall and adjust it if this second pair does the same thing.

I had bought Florsheim shoes before and really liked them so when it came time to replace my black pair, there was only one company I really considered. These were super confortable straight out of the box. Didn't have to break them in which was perfect since I needed them for my sister's quinceañera and I was on my feet essentially all day and night. The sole has come loose from the rest of the shoe but that may be my fault. Have had these for over a year and they've held up well overall. Will definitely keep buying from Florsheim.

I like the shoes, they fit well and are a nice dark brown. I wore them for a full day just one day after the brown truck dropped them off.I took one star off for fit and finish. The cap is not sheared smoothly on one of them and the stitching isn't awful but not of the level of Allen Edmonds. The come with a nice shine that seems to be pretty durable.

They are stylish, good looking and comfortable right out of box. One thing should be of aware is that they run large so order one or half size down from your normal size. I took some other persons' down sizing recommendations, so I ordered half size smaller but I should had ordered full 1 size.Other than that, it is a quality product.

Overall I am happy with this shoe. I would consider this an entry level shoe with leather soles. The leather was a little stuffed that the previous brown pair that I purchased, but I would buy these again.

This is a good show for the price. The bottom is a bit slippery on hardwood floors. Good for indoors and on carpet.
